Black English Anglo Saxon King Aethelwulf, also spelled Ethelwulf and Æthelwulf the father of King Alfred the Great. He was the King of Wessex from 839 to 858. In 825 his father, King Ecgberht. As ruler of the Saxons from 839 to 856, he allied his kingdom of Wessex with the kingdom of Mercia to empower the invasions by mighty Danish Vikings.
He came from a long line of Kings, the son of the great West Saxon king Egbert who ruled from 802–839, Aethelwulf ascended to the throne four years after the Danes had begun their large-scale raids on the English coast. In 851 he led a major victory over a large Danish army at a place called Aclea in Surrey, South England.
Aethelwulf married his daughter to the mighty Mercian king Burgred 853, and in 856 he married Judith, the daughter of Charles II the Bald, king of the West Franks and Holy Roman emperor. Aethelwulf was murdered by a rival faction upon his return from pilgrimage in Rome 856, but he continued to rule Kent and several other eastern provinces until his death. In addition to Alfred the Great (ruled 871–899), three of Aethelwulf’s four sons became kings of Wessex.

Æthelwulf means “Noble Wolf” the wolf is a symbol of the Hebrew Israelite Benjamin Tribe. The King likely knew he was a bloodline Hebrew Israelite or Jew from the house of Israel/Judah southern Kingdom.
